Module 2: PI Disease State, Diagnosis, and Treatment Overview

This module of the Rare Disease Immunology course examines primary immunodeficiency (PI) in detail, by presenting the different types of PI, the symptoms of PI, how they are diagnosed, and how they are treated.

Upon completion of this module, you should be able to:

  • Discuss the epidemiology and occurrence of PI
  • List and describe the different categories of PI disease states
  • Outline the warning signs of PI
  • Discuss the diagnosis of PI
  • List the general treatment options of PI

This module takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete.
